When booking with Dales Hideaways we do always try to be accommodating, however this does mean that we need to establish these conditions to make your time at Bookilber Barn the best experience possible.

Confirming/Confirmation of bookings

  • A typical booking deposit of 30%  is required to confirm your booking. If you are booking within 6 weeks of your holiday, payment must be made in full when confirming your booking. Please note that your booking is not confirmed until you have received either an email or written confirmation and we reserve the right to refuse any booking.

  • Your booking is made as a consumer and you agree that we will not accept liability for expenses, costs, losses, claims or other sums that relate to any business however so suffered or incurred by you.

  • You must be over 18 years of age at the time of making your booking. As soon as you receive the booking confirmation, please check it carefully and let us know immediately of any errors or concerns you may have.

  • By paying your deposit you are deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions in full.

Property

  • Bookilber Barn does have limited accessibility, therefore may not be suitable for people who struggle with mobility as there are steps throughout the property.

Balance payment

  • The balance is due at least 6 weeks before your stay. This can be paid by bank transfer. Non-payment of the final balance when it becomes due will constitute cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of the deposit payment stated above.

Booking details

  • The price agreed prior to confirmation, includes in its price, all bed linen, towels, gas, electric, and a starter supply of logs and firelighters. Extras shown on the website can be purchased when booking your holiday, and delivered to the barn prior to your visit.

Security Deposit

  • We will need a deposit of £250 paid with the balance, £350 for stays over 7 nights. This is to cover any damage, costs attached to inappropriate use of the house or breach of terms and conditions during your stay. This is refunded following your stay. However if damage occurs during the stay that is in excess of the deposit paid the additional sum will be the full responsibility of the individual that made the booking.

Arrival Departure

  • We’ll meet you at the house from 4pm on day of arrival and we ask you to leave by 10:00am on day of departure, unless agreed otherwise.

Cancellation

  • The booking deposit is only refunded at our discretion if we cannot confirm another stay, we will refund it in full. Once the balance is paid, the same also applies. We will always be fair and accommodating, but re-advertising late cancellation will usually be discounted and deducted from the payment.

Vehicles

  • We strive to provide a safe and secure environment for our guests' vehicles. However, please be aware that any loss or damage that may occur to your vehicle whilst it is on our property is not within our control, and we cannot assume any responsibility for it. Additionally, we would like to inform you that the lane leading to our property is owned by the local authority, and therefore any liability or responsibility for its condition rests solely with them.

Occupancy

  • Only those listed on the guest details card are entitled to use the house for the stay. This must be signed and returned at least 6 weeks before your stay. Late return or exceeding the number quoted may constitute cancellation. The house accommodates 12 persons (including children), plus 1 cot. Should you wish to exceed this number please discuss at time of booking. Exceeding the number of stated guests using will be contrary to these conditions.

Complaints

  • We work extremely hard to ensure you have an enjoyable and relaxing stay at Bookilber Barn, any problems that may occur during your stay must be reported to the contacts provided straight away. This is the quickest way of resolving problems that might occur, and we ensure to get it sorted ASAP.

Pets

  • We are sorry, but we cannot accept pets at Bookilber Barn.

Smoking

  • For the comfort of all our guests we do in force a no smoking permitted policy when it comes to smoking in any internal areas. Ash trays can be requested if you need for outside the house.

Hot tub

  • Hot tub is located in the outbuilding located adjacent from the barn. Instructions for use are in the folder located by the hot tub. Please shower before use and do not get into the hot tub wearing fake tans or any other tanning products, also do not add any detergents to the hot tub as this will damage the unit. Any misuse of the hot tub may result in the loss of your deposit.

Damages

  • Any damages to the barn or breakages must be reported at the time and will occur a cost dependent on what the damage is.

Care/Responsibilities of guests

  • Bookilber Barn is whole heartedly cared for and we ask that you treat the house with the up most respect. Although we understand that the house will be used we do state that the cleanliness of the property is left on departure how it was found on arrival.

Accidents

  • Dales Hideaways cannot accept any responsibility for any personal accidents/injuries that happen at the barn during your stay.

Reviews

  • Any review left by a guest, either on social media or in the visitors book may be used by Dales Hideaways for publicity purposes e.g. social media, website, etc

General

  • Guests are responsible for the removal of rubbish.
