Exploring the Yorkshire Dales

Malham Cove
The short Malham cove walk is suitable for young children and adults alike. It starts in the village itself and from there it is clearly signposted and is very accessible.
You then head up the stone steps to the top of the cove where you will be able to explore the unique limestone pavement and the spectacular views.

Ingleton Waterfalls
If you’re staying in the Dales, looking for an adventure head no further then to Ingleton waterfalls, the 4.3 mile (7km) trail starts in the village of Ingleton.
Make you’re way up the stone steps and take in all the natural trials and spectacular waterfalls which will be sure to fill up your camera.

Settle to Carlise Railway
The Settle to Carlisle railway is steeped in history as you take the journey through the picturesque dales. You start in the market town of Settle and meander up the Dales passing through the small villages such as Horton, Ribble-head over the historic viaduct and up on your way up to Carlisle, not forgetting to stop off at Appleby first.

Gallery on the Green
Visit probably the smallest art gallery in the world. In 2009 the Upper Settle phone box was purchased by Settle Town Council under the BT ‘Adopt a Kiosk’ scheme. At the time it was agreed that 'Cultivating Settle' would manage the facility and set up a community art gallery. It has been running as a gallery ever since.

Walking and Cycling
The Yorkshire Dales is a cyclists dream. What does it have to offer you say? Look no further then the Settle loop bike trail which takes you up lung busting hills and down hair raising trails as the route takes you from Settle over the Pennie bridleways to such wonders of the Dales as Malham Cove.

Janet's Foss
Whilst visiting the Dales, Janet’s Foss, a short journey down the road at Malham, would be a walkers first port of call.
As you can start your journey down at Malham and walk your way round all the natural beauties of the Dales, starting at the Cove and working your way round to Gordale scar and finally Janets Foss.

Settle Town
The market town of Settle has a little bit for everyone, walks, markets, cafes and pubs, what more could you want from a small town, you can make your way round the town and over the cobbles into the warm, farming market town of Settle.

Ingleborough Caves
Wanting a day exploring what can't be seen above ground, the Ingleborough caves is the only place to go, to see what’s hiding under the hills. The premier show cave provides all things spectacular about the Yorkshire Dales, as you travel through 450 million years of history and geology.
